| FEMA Y2k Booklet Available in Spanish, Audio and Braille The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) now has the popular Y2K and You booklet available in Spanish, Braille and audio formats."As the end of the year approaches, we want to reach as many people as possible with the correct information on the Y2K transition," said FEMADirector James Lee Witt. The booklet in Spanish and in the audio format is available on the FEMA web site. The Braille version of the booklet is being sent to key organizations across the country to maximize its availability to visually impaired readers. FEMA worked with the President's Council on Y2K Conversion and the Federal Trade Commission to publish the 32 page guide covering a wide range of topics. Specific sections address important Y2K-related issues in such areas as utilities, personal finance, food and fuel, health, and travel. Y2K booklet has been posted on the web site and available in printed format in English since early November 1999. To download these files, go to http://www.fema.gov/nwz99/y2k1203.htm |
